THE EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE FRAMEWORK AT BVIS

From 2 to 5 years old, our pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. A UNIQUE PHONICS PROGRAMME

Throughout their time in pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Reception, your child will work towards the seven EYFS areas of learning and development in both English and Vietnamese. Our globally acclaimed, innovative phonics programme develops strong linguistic skills, enabling students to switch seamlessly between languages with confidence. First things first

When our Early Years students arrive at school at 8:30am, they enjoy a quick warm-up activity to get ready for the day ahead. These range from building Ho Chi Minh City’s next skyscraper with our range of play equipment to becoming whoever they want in our role-play area.

It's time to listen to the melodies of traditional songs and express themselves using a range of instruments! This develops their communication, language, and physical skills through creative play.

At lunchtime, fresh, nutritious, and delicious Asian and Western meals are prepared onsite for students to enjoy with their friends.

Continuing the learning journey

An afternoon of inside and outside play, with teacher-led and student-initiated activities, develop our children's interests and passions. Before home time, our students settle down for a thought-provoking story.

After another busy day of learning, fun, and discovery, our little learners return home at 3:05 pm on the school bus. Alternatively, they can continue to do what they love at specially designed EYFS after-school clubs.

A supportive partnership with our parents

We understand that you are your child's first educator - and the most important person in their life! Our goal is to build a strong relationship with you, based on regular communication, that will truly enhance your child's learning experience. There are a number of ways we do this, including through individual learning portfolios, weekly publications, and parent get-togethers.

TRANSITIONING TO EARLY EDUCATION

Our early childhood education gives our young learners the time and support to confidently transition into full-time education. Your child's teacher will get to know them, and help them settle into life at our school.

We help our students to make friends, build strong relationships with our staff, and familiarise themselves with our routines and structures, all at their own pace. Our Foundation 1 children usually take a little longer to settle in than our Foundation 3 children, but we'll work with you to decide on the most appropriate schedule for your child.
