Primary Campus Weekly Update 14 Sep 2026

Dear Parents,
Annie the Musical Cast Announcement

Following auditions on Monday 7th September, we are delighted to announce that the cast list for our upcoming production of Annie the Musical was released on Friday 11th September. A huge well done to all students who took part in the audition process. We were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm, confidence, and commitment shown by every child. Auditioning takes courage, and we are proud of all those who stepped forward to showcase their talents. The excitement around the production is already building, and we look forward to seeing students begin rehearsals and bring this wonderful musical to life over the coming months.
Social Impact Assembly
Last Monday, students took part in an inspiring Social Impact Assembly led by Ms Man. The assembly focused on our school's continued commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and achieving Gold Accreditation. Students were encouraged to reflect on how their actions can contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and make a positive difference within both our school community and the wider world.
Residential Information Sessions
Last week, students and families had the opportunity to learn more about our exciting residential programmes. On Tuesday, children in Years 3 and 4 attended informative and engaging sessions delivered by Hutong. Following the student sessions, parents joined information meetings after school. Year 5 students and families also attended a Beijing Residential Information Session on Wednesday. Residential opportunities play an important role in developing independence, resilience, teamwork, and confidence.
National Coding Week
This week, we will be celebrating Coding Week, giving every student the opportunity to explore the exciting world of computer science through coding lessons, learning about influential coders, and taking part in a live house competition. Working collaboratively in teams, students will develop problem-solving, creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills as they tackle coding challenges together. This reflects our school mission by empowering learners to be curious, innovative, and resilient individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact in an increasingly digital world. Students should wear their house colours on the day of their live coding competition and bring their iPad and pencil case.
Off-site Fire Drill Practice
As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and emergency preparedness, we conducted an off-site fire drill on Monday 14th of September. During the drill, students and staff practised safely evacuating the school campus and walking to our designated assembly point. This important exercise helps ensure that everyone is familiar with the procedures to follow in the event of a real emergency. We appreciate your support and encourage you to continue discussing the importance of fire safety with your child at home too.
