Gareth has brought his love of literature to ISM, joining the Upper Campus English Department. He has come across from another school within our Nord Anglia family, having held the position of Assistant Head of English at The Prague British Int'l School in the Czech Republic.
Gareth was born in Melbourne, Australia but grew up in London, UK. After 3 years of teaching in London's State and Academy Schools, he made his first move into international education, and since then has held positions as classroom teacher in Italy and two Head of Department positions in both Chile and Perú - before his return to Europe in 2022/23.
With a move to ISM this year - Gareth brings a wealth of cross-curricular international exam experience, and aims to help guide students towards a better understanding of what examiners are specifically looking for, whilst at the same time fostering a love for English Literature and the global topics that will be studied and analysed during coursework.
